Our Tent ..... the brown bag on the left holds the water for the shower.

Relaxing before dinner

 The  SINK

This deserves an explanation. ...Now this is not a flushable toilet.  It's basically just a hollow box..... sitting over a hole in the ground.

Here's the procedure :  When you're finished, you dump scoops of earth

( from the beige basket )  on what's in the hole.      Hey ... IT WORKS .

Masai  Giraffe     ( notice how different the pattern is from the Reticulated Giraffe found in Kenya ? )

Zebras  and  Wildebeests ..... as far as the eye could see.

Maribou  Storks ..... not the most attractive bird around.

Swinging Bridge  Across The  Grumeti  River .....

This is a narrow portion of the river you see the Wildebeests making a mad dash across in all those wildlife documentaries.

Grumeti  River  ..... No.... it's not quite time for them to make the crossing.   These guys are just coming down for a sip or two.

This is known as  "Pronking" ... as in  pronk   pronk   pronk

Some people have difficulty distinguishing  Impala  vs.  Grant's  Gazelles. ...

especially when they're seen together.

Well ... other than the fact that the horns are different ... and Impala are bigger ...

it's real easy.

The markings on the rear end of the Impala  ... look like the  McDonald's  emblem.

Guinea fowl    are really strange.   They can fly ... but prefer not to.  They'd rather try to outrun the jeeps   ( and they won't get out of the way either ).

And  THEN ... The jeep got stuck in the mud

( in the middle of cheetah country ).

Well.... at least it didn't sink.

Since we couldn't move it .... there wasn't much to do except have breakfast  until  the camp staff arrived and did their rescue thing.
